Adding Bam! to AFW Template [AS2] · Feb 20, 02:07 PM

On the Textpattern side of things, the template is pretty solid. Since most of the code is from well-developed OS projects, the functionality is there. And for my part, I added the glue that binds.

The flash code, I’m not too proud of. It’s really meant to be an example of a minimal implementation. Not a good one, at that.

…so up next is a version of the template that uses the CASA Framework for the Flash side of things. [Loose definition of a Flash Framework: Bunch of ActionScript Classes and Interfaces that ease chores of common programming tasks while also encouraging the use of good OOP practices]

I compared ASAP, Gugga, and CASA Frameworks and decided that I like CASA because it is so easy to pick-up, and well documented. Although I’m pro-OOP, or whatever I haven’t had much reason to use it recently. CASA, while not the most full-featured helped me re-learn OOP just by reading the documentation.
